Dr. Kevin Wendell
I love practicing dentistry here in Westport. It’s a wonderful community with very kind people. Being able to help others keep their teeth for the rest of their life is emotionally rewarding for me. I am a strong promoter of our motto “Healthy Habits for Life”, emphasizing preventative dentistry on a regular basis.
I graduated from the University of Tennessee, College of Dentistry where I received numerous awards for excellence in dental research. During my studies, I investigated the effects of smoking on gum disease. I have published in multiple journals and presented my research around the country. Currently, I focus my time on continuously learning new dental techniques and the most modern methods in patient care.
I am the Past President of the Southeastern District of the Massachusetts Dental Society for the 2016/2017 year as well as the ethics committee and review board for the Southeastern District. I am a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the International College of Oral Implantologists.
I grew up in New England. I currently reside in Barrington, RI with my wife and three beautiful children. When I am not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and my great friends. Together we enjoy skiing, running, cooking and traveling.
Rebecca K. Dansereau, Office Manager / Financial Coordinator
I have been the Office Manager since 2014 and with the practice since 2003. I continue to enjoy assisting our patients with their dental benefits and creating financial arrangements that allow patients to receive the dental treatment they deserve.
I graduated from Bristol Community College with an Associate’s degree in Business Administration. I will continue to attend seminars on HIPAA, human resources and management laws to keep our office up to the current standards and running smoothly.
In my off time, I love baking cookies and cupcakes with my son Patrick. I also enjoy spending time in New Hampshire hiking and relaxing with my family.
Chelynne Soule, Patient Coordinator

Lauren Callahan, C.D.A., Patient Coordinator
Working in the dental field has always a goal of mine. I have been a certified dental assistant since 2013 where I graduated from Southeastern Technical Institute. I am glad to be back working in my home town. The most rewarding part of my job is being able to help educate the patients and gain their trust. Currently I am working as one of the patient coordinators and enjoy learning new positions in the dental practice.
When I’m not in the office I am spending time with my husband, daughter Summer, and son Jack. Together we enjoy watching our daughter play all of her after school sports, watching our son grow, and traveling.

Carrie Dubois, L.D.A.
Carrie started her career as a graduate of Quincy College as a Surgical Technologist specializing in vascular surgery in the operating room. She then became certified as Dental Assistant through the Dental Assisting National Board. Carrie has a broad range of experience with over 18 years in the field. She has had the opportunity to work with multiple specialists including a dental anesthesiologist dealing with patients suffering with severe dental anxiety, complete pedodontic restorative cases, to periodontists, oral surgeons and general dentistry.

As a new member of the dental hygiene team, and a resident of Westport, I am thrilled to be working with Dr. Wendell and his amazing staff. I have been a hygienist for half of my life. Krystal Arsenault, R.D.H.
I started my career in dentistry when I attended Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School. I graduated high school in 2014 in the dental assisting program. After high school, I immediately wanted to further my education in dentistry. I then attended Bristol Community College, in which I had graduated from the Dental Hygiene program in 2018. After gaining some experience in the field, I am thrilled to have found my way to working in Westport, my home town. My favorite thing about dental hygiene is, not only improving patient’s oral health, but their overall health. I also enjoy meeting new people & building relationships with patients. With my license to administer local anesthesia, I am always able to maintain patient comfort. I look forward to many years in the dental hygiene field & am always eager to learn about new advances in the field.
I was born and raised in Westport & currently still reside here. When I’m not in the office I enjoy spending time with my husband & family. Together we enjoy traveling, camping, hiking & other various outdoor activities.
Kate Machado, RDH, BS, MEd, FADHA
Ever since she was little, Kate has always wanted to be a dental hygienist. She is a Bristol Community College Dental Hygiene graduate who immersed herself quickly into the profession. She was involved in her state and local associations for many of the early years in her career, including being the Southeastern Component Chair. Not only is she a clinical dental hygienist, but an educator at BCC, an inaugural writer & continuing education creator for the digital dental hygiene platform. Along the way, Kate went back to school twice to receive her bachelor’s in health studies and master’s degree in education – Health Promotion. In early 2023, she recently became one of the Inaugural members of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association’s Fellows Class of 2023.
She is passionate about patient education and homecare. She strives to promote and educate patients on the direct correlation between oral health and whole-body health. If your mouth is unhealthy, so is your body, and vice versa. Dental hygienists are not “tooth-scrappers”; they are oral health specialists! They provide high quality standard of care, not “just a cleaning.”
When she is not working or attending conferences (which she loves to do), she loves going to the movies, trying out new restaurants, crafting, and of course, traveling!
