Everyone understands the importance of applying sunscreen, but don’t forget one important part-your lips!
The skin on the lips is very thin and vulnerable to sunburn.
Use a lip balm with a minimum SPF of 15 and apply every 2 hours, more often if swimming. Try to use a broad spectrum sunscreen with both UVA and UVB protection. Some lipsticks and glosses can actually make the lips burn quickly, so avoid using them if you will be out in the sun.
If you notice anything unusual, please call the office for an evaluation.
